Burton have completed upgrades to Henry Lawson Drive between Beale Street and Rabaul Road, Georges Hall.
This road upgrade was successfully completed as part of the Urban Road Congestion Program to improve safety for road users. The road improvements will ease congestion, reduce traffic delays, and improve safety and travel times for drivers in Georges Hall and the greater Canterbury Bankstown area. The final stage of the upgrade is now complete, and is now open to traffic.
The two-year project for Transport for NSW saw 323 square metres of concrete poured for footpaths, medians and driveways, 1,600 tonnes of asphalt laid for 1.7 kilometres of new road and 42 stormwater drainage pits installed. The project also met key sustainability targets, recycling 124 tonnes of concrete and 1200 tonnes of asphalt.
A massive congratulations to everyone at Burton involved in this project.
