Scope of works

The scope of works and primary activities included:

Bulk earthworks, including over 120,000m3 of cut-to-fill
Services reticulation including water, electrical, communications and stormwater
Construction of sedimentation basins and bio-retention basin
Over 1,500m2 of keystone retaining walls
Construction of internal estate road named Oatley Close, including new full depth pavement, landscaping, guard rail, palisade fencing, footpath and cycleway.

Works were also completed for Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) on Great Western Highway including:

Construction of two new turning lanes into the estate
New full depth pavement construction comprised of lean mix concrete, jointed concrete base, kerbs and medians
Installation of new traffic signals.

Project Highlights

The processing and lime stabilisation of topsoil material enabled the beneficial re-use of waste material as general fill for the construction of the works. This innovative change in earthwork methodology enabled the project to stay on schedule, meeting both budget and time constraints.
