Burton Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with roadworks & traffic management experience to form part of the site team in the project delivery.
The Project Engineer is expected to provide sound technical support in the delivery of project outcomes reporting directly to the Project Manager, controlling the administrative functions of the job, while providing a support link to the Site Supervisors.
Co-ordinating, monitoring and management of subcontractors to meet program, implement the most efficient and effective construction methodology while continue to apply best practice.
Application of Traffic Management, Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management and Quality Systems is expected. Unit Cost Analysis, preparation of cost claims and contract notices are essential aspects of this job function.
The successful candidate:
- Will possess a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Hold relevant Traffic Management tickets
- Interpretation and application of TfNSW specifications.
- Develop & implement project traffic management plans.
- Have the ability to instruct and make adjustments on site & monitor traffic management plans.
- Have relevant experience working in civil construction industry.
- Have the ability to read / interpret plans.
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
