Description of Project:
The works involved the construction of roadworks and associated activities for the upgrading of the section of Campbelltown Road to dual carriageways over a length of approximately 1.2km from east of East Town Centre Road to west of New Macdonald Road, Bardia.
Scope of Works:
Key features of the works included:
- Construction of new signalised intersections at East Town Centre Road, Soldiers Parade and New Macdonald Road (at a new location from the existing intersection)
- Roadworks including erosion and sedimentation, clearing and grubbing, earthworks (including the provision of a controlled subgrade layer), stormwater and subsurface drainage and pavement construction
- Construction of a blockwork retaining wall approximately 90m long and 1m high along the Conservation Area boundary north of East Town Centre Road
- Major utility relocations including recycled and potable water mains, gas mains, street lighting and electrical infrastructure, telecommunications and the construction of ITS infrastructure
- Miscellaneous works including property adjustments, fencing, construction of kerbs and gutters, wire rope safety barriers, concrete paving for shared path, signposting, pavement markings and landscaping
